The joy of seeing the legendary Ruth Buzzi wishing my father a happy birthday would have been great but she turned it up to glorious by being so personal and detail oriented. This was a fabulous experience and I’m an even bigger Buzzi fan than I was before. My dad laughed til he cried.

Dear Ms. Buzzi, thank you so much for this quite extraordinary, enlightening and heartfelt share about Mitch. I first want to apologize for this awkward way of dropping the news of Mitch's passing on you (maybe you had already heard, but I apologize all the same). As I mentioned in my request, the Los Angeles Tennis Association is devoting their next Newsletter entirely to one of its founders (its most popular and beloved founder, Mitchell), and in asking for advice from a friend in the industry on how I might be able to reach you, she told me about Cameo. It seemed like the most direct way to reach you, and get a bit of an interview. I consider your video a huge success, so thank you. I will be sharing this with about 300+ members who think of Mitch as a rock star. Not only did he found this organization in 1978, but was its treasurer from the beginning until he passed. So a happy ending for him, he found another diversion in tennis after stage and TV and he did became quite successful at it. His roommate gave me access to some of his personal photos and there are a couple with you and Mitch together. I inquired with his great niece and some of his longtime friends from the 50's and 60's and they knew you two had been friends. Your remembrances of his personality are absolutely in line with the man we knew too, he had this brutal honesty that would bust up a room, and the heart of a lamb. I also want to say, yes, there are quite a few young members in LATA, but also quite a few like me who watched Laugh-In when it was the Saturday Night Live of its day, and are big fans of Gladys Ormphby and her big purse. So "THE" Ruth Buzzi sharing her connection to Mitch is going to go over BIG, you certainly made MY day! Take care, and if you want me to send you a copy of our 'in memorium' Newsletter once it is completed, I can be emailed at (Hidden by Cameo). Eric Dodson
