Danny Zuker delivered a meaningful Cameo. But I sort of knew this in advance. Yes, it's exciting to see an actor, singer, or athlete say your name, or the name of your loved ones. But when you get the writer and producer of a popular and award-winning TV show (Modern Family) do a Cameo, you have selected a person who makes a living by literally knowing the right words to say. And while it's true that your loved ones won't recognize the name and the face—unless they work in the industry or pay attention to the credits at the start of the episode—you are getting A-quality material at a low cost. Do I wish we lived in a world where the world's writers were more famous than the world's actors and athletes? Yes. But until then day arrives, the people who make us laugh will make your loved one's laugh for a lot less than random actors and athletes from the 1970s. P.S. Cameo doesn't allow one to write a lot when making the booking. So, I hoped Danny would explain who he was and talk about being the writer of the Modern Family episode Starry Night. (My Cameo request for my kids was Van Gogh-related.) As I was watching the Cameo, I kept on saying 'Yup.' He nailed it. I'm really happy how it turned out.
